There is no catch. Mori is free, open source (GPL-3.0), and runs entirely on your device. No ads, no analytics, no subscription. If you want to support development, there is a donation link.

Yes. Mori uses OTA (Over-The-Air) hot-patching to push scraper updates in the background without requiring you to reinstall the app. When a platform changes its API, the fix arrives silently.

Files go to standard system folders (Movies/Mori, Music/Mori, Pictures/Mori) by default. You can pick any custom folder, including SD cards, from Settings. Files only appear in your gallery once the download is 100% complete.

Mori for iOS ships as a .ipa file and requires sideloading via AltStore or TrollStore. It is not available on the App Store. The Installation Guide covers the full process step by step.

Yes. Full build instructions for all platforms are in CONTRIBUTING.md. The app is built with Vanilla JS, Tauri v2 for desktop, and Capacitor for Android and iOS.
